Center for Educational Adventure has been a provider of programs for Road Scholar since 1984.
Bobbie Duncan, retired Dean of Continuing Education and Economic Outreach at Georgia Southwestern State University, where the program originated, has worked with Elderhostel to provide educational learning programs in the southeast region of the United States that spotlight area history, ecology and regional cuisine. Programming sites include four states - Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The Center for Educational Adventure is known for its superior educational program content with field trips to support learning adventures. Types of programs provided for Road Scholar include: theater, arts, history, biking, kayaking, hiking, weeklong itinerary, culinary and a cruise ship program.
